Polarized Solid State Targets have been used in several scattering experiments since 1970. Various target materials are dynamically polarized (DNP) and the polarization value is determined by CW-NMR technique. The complex apparatus consists of refrigerator, pumping system, magnets, slow control, microwave system (for DNP) and NMR. A major part of laboratory work is the investigation and development of common and new target materials with NMR and EPR. Details can be found in Diploma and PhD theses. Publications have been made together with different collaborations, especially in cooperation between the Polarized Target groups in Bonn and Bochum.
